Spring is here – with the April showers to confirm its arrival!
Despite the weather, the new spring season is always a great time to refresh one’s wardrobe ready for the longer evenings and the sunshine!
I was invited to visit Westfield Stratford City to experience their gift card service and to update my style for the Spring.

With super convenient transport links, the opening of Westfield Stratford City in 2012 brought the West E to the East End and with free WIFI throughout the centre and restaurants open until 10 pm, it is the perfect place to work, rest, play and of course SHOP!
A Westfield gift card makes an ideal present for that special someone who loves fashion and beauty or is a little difficult to buy for that one person never knows what they want! Load it up online or in the person and the lucky recipient can either have it posted to them or the can collect it from the concierge desk.
It was really quick for me to collect my card, the staff were extremely courteous and soon I was ready to ‘spring’ into shopping action!
I was keen to add a splash of colour and print to my wardrobe in anticipation of the warmer weather. I love colour and print and use it to express my individual style. Be it neon brights…
or colourful prints…
…I love to express my style and personality through fashion.
I initially headed to River Island, one of my favourite fashion destinations, due to its offering of larger sizes and cuts to fit all of my ‘curves’!
I fell in love with this floral maxi wrap skirt – a bargain at £25!
I have been teaming it with my New Look Black Leather-Look Suedette Trim Jacket which I already had in my wardrobe and a pair of gladitor sandals which I brought at the Miss Selfridge store in the centre.
Wearing my my Nubian Skin tights from the new ‘Curve’ range with my sandals is ideal for this trans-seasonal weather! The Cinnamon shade is a perfect match.
I popped into Zara to check out the shoes and these sandals caught my eye – how could they not – the electric blue is POPPING!
I plan on teaming them with this Kimono style jacket from River Island for a colour block bonanza!
I ended my shopping spree with a visit to the Levi Root’s Caribbean Smokehouse and feasted on some well deserved Reggae Reggae jerk chicken, rice and peas, Caribbean coleslaw and plantain!!

I had a pleasant afternoon all around…all I need now is some sun!
Love the post and definitely need to head to Westfield asap
