A beautiful fragrance is a must for both everyday wear and those extra special occasions and I am in no doubt that everyone would find a fragrance that they would adore amongst the Miller Harris portfolio.
I have written about my love for the brand and its iconic fragrance L’Air de Rien in the past, and the fragrance remains in my favourite top three scents…
…so it was wonderful to attend the #30PlusBlogs event hosted by Miller Harris and Hayley Carr of the award winning blog London Beauty Queen and founder of the 30 Plus Blogs collective last week. The theme was #FragranceMemories, which I found to be apt as I have wonderful memories associated with wearing Miller Harris scents (other favourites include Noix de Tuberéuse and Tangerine Vert.
Since I last visited the Bruton Street boutique in 2012, the store has had a make over to represent the elements of the fragrance offering and it now has a clean, contemporary look that is still welcoming (however, if you are looking for the tea room, it is no longer in store).
The foundation stone of the Miller Harris brand is precious natural ingredients. All the fragrances have the highest quality naturals available which gives the soul and essences to the Miller Harris scents. Being familiar with the core offering of fragrances, I was brought up to speed with the latest addition to the Edition collection: Vetiver Insolent, which launched this month.
Its base is vetiver, a deep-rooted grass from Haiti, full of sweet, fresh earthiness and an enemy of melancholia. Brazen notes of bergamot and cardamom engender curiosity, giving way to energizing black pepper, elemi and a whisper of lavender and the man in your life will love it just as much as you do!
Vetiver Insolent was created by French perfumer Mathieu Nardin. He states:
“I wanted to pay homage to an iconic note such as Vetiver. Robertet’s unique Vetiver lends to the fragrance an unmistakable sensuality thanks to its woodiness and precious warmth.”
Mathieu Nardin already created fragrances for Miller Harris; Rose Silence and Tea Tonique.
“I am honored to continue the very successful relationship between Miller Harris and Robertet that has been bringing to life successes for the past fifteen years.”
We were presented with a personalised sample of the fragrance, a true delight!
Although the fragrance is slightly on the masculine side for me, I cannot recommend the Miller Harris brand enough. The quality ingredients work with the alchemy of the skin to create a truly unique, long lasting scent.
