Take 3! The Triple Treatment Combo at the @AnesisSpa, London

We are entering week 3 of the New Year!

How has the start of the year been for you? I am now back in the full swing of things, meeting new people, brokering new partnerships for my Keziah CONNECTIONS events (look out for dates of the next event which will be announced shortly!) and blogging of course!

My ‘to-do’ list is certainly getting longer and finding time fit in essential beauty treatments, such as getting ones nails and brows done can sometimes be a challenge.

Last November, I was invited to the Anesis Spa in Clapham (South London) to experience one of their latest additions to the treatment menu – the TRIPLE TREATMENT COMBO. These treatments promise a combination of 3 services delivered in one hour or less – prefect for those who have a packed schedule!

Anesis Spa first opened it’s doors in December 2010 as London’s first ‘Luxury Fish Spa’. It was voted the ‘Best Fish Spa in London’ and soon became a hit with celebrities causing a big stir in the industry. Actors, TV personalities, Olympic gold medal winners and recording artists have all sampled the spa’s offerings.

Due to client demand, Anesis expanded the range of treatments on offer and added 2 new contemporary treatment rooms to the space.

The Triple Treatment Combos are described as the ‘ultimate pampering in a third of the time‘ so I was keen to put this to the test! As I frequent visitor to nail salons/brow bars, I know that these treatments can take a while and to be in and out of a salon within the hour would be a dream!

The Triple Treatment Combos that are available are:

– Eye Bright Eye Contour + OPI Express Manicure + OPI Express Pedicure -£95 (+ a glass of bubbly)

– HD Brows + OPI Spa Pedicure + OPI Spa Manicure 60mins – £115 (+ a glass of bubbly)

– LVL Lashes + OPI Spa Pedicure + OPI Spa Manicure 60mins – £125 (+ a glass of bubbly)

– Elemis Modern Skin Facial + Artistic Gel Pedicure + Artistic Gel Manicure – 60mins – £160 (+ a glass of bubbly)

You can also opt to have a combination of any of the above so I decided to go with the HD Brow treatment and the Artistic Nail Gel manicure and pedicure.

When I arrived at the salon I was greeted cordially (even though I was running about 10 mins late!!) and was taken to the treatment room on the 3rd floor of the building. It was clean and well presented and the three therapists got to work right away!

HD Brow Treatment

HD Brows is a high-precision procedure that transforms even the most over plucked brow into its perfect shape, dramatically enhancing your facial features in 7 steps.

The therapist talked me through each of the steps as she carried out the procedure, but I decided to skip the tinting stage as I didn’t want my brows to be too dark. My brows were filled in and shaped with the HD Brows pallete kit and I was very happy with the shape! The results are said to last for up to six weeks and I can vouch that the shape lasted throughout the festive period and only now do I feel I need to attend to my brows again.

Artistic Nail Gel Manicure and Pedicure

IMG-20121101-02080 (3) Artistic Nail Design is a Colour Gloss Soak Off Gel. It is formulated to glide on just like polish and then, light-cured, just like gel. Colour Gloss cures in only 30 seconds using the Artistic LED light (see right)! For a frequent visitor to the nail salon, this is music to my ears – I hate waiting for my nails to dry!!

The brand recently hit the headlines when the White House officially announced that Artistic Colour gloss, in the shade ‘Vogue’ was worn by first lady at the Democratic National Convention last year

….well, if it is good enough for Mrs O…

IMG-20121102-02092 The colour range isn’t extensive, but there is something for everyone. I opted for the rich plum colour ‘Fierce’ and the therapists worked simultaneously to shape and paint my nails. The mani/pedi that is offered as part of this combo is not a full treatment , so if you are looking for the full works (hand/foot soak, cuticle tidy etc) you will have to select a different procedure. The three therapists communicated with each other and with me throughout the treatment and thus there wasn’t much opportunity to relax – but hey, the main objective of this treatment is to be in and out of the salon ASAP, so this is not a major issue.

I loved the fact that my nails were dry in an instant and I could put my shoes on right way – no need to worry about smudges! The colour lasted for 3 weeks and I was very happy with the results.

Even tough I was 10 mins late – I was still finished within the hour, so kudos to the therapists! The individual treatments actually take a total of 2 hours and 25 mins so the time saving is significant!

If time is your most precious commodity, I would highly recommend the Triple Treatment Combo!
