Spring is officially here and with the adjustment of the clocks comes a refresh of ones makeup repertoire. I love upping the ante with my colour cosmetics as the summer approaches and Fashion Fair Cosmetics, an authority on cosmetics for women of colour has recently unveiled London Is Calling – a collection of four new semi-matte lipsticks inspired by the vibrant capital city that I have the privilege to call home, which I will be adding to my collection!
The collection features four shades named after some of the capital’s landmarks, boroughs and icons: Chelsea – a pretty pink shade, London Fog a vibrant violet hue, radiant Red Coat and Underground, an intense purple hue.
All four highly pigmented shades are enriched with vitamins and emollients to keep lips beautifully soft, whilst providing a semi-matte finish. I have been wearing the Red Coat shade and it is an intense red that really pops and is perfect for the spring. It is also long lasting and non-drying. The brand hosted a launch event with leading MUA Pauline Briscoe earlier in the year – unfortunately I couldn’t make it 😞😞- but some of my #brownbeauty crew made it down to the Debenhams on Oxford Street to test out the colours – make sure that you follow these lovely ladies!
