I love wearing false eyelashes! I don’t need a special occasion – I always have several styles on the go!
When my love affair with falsies began I used to buy the MAC lashes but last year I discovered the Eylure Naturalites Double False Eyelashes and these have been my go-to lash product ever since!
I even dubbed them my ‘beauty product of the year’ in the recent #bblogger Xmas Wish List feature in Blackhair magazine!
The Double Lashes make my eyes pop and these lashes are often on special offer at Boots or Superdrug, so I stock up whenever I get the chance.
I had the chance to attend the Eylure bloggers evening a few weeks ago, which was held at the W Hotel in Soho. The Eylure brand turned 65 this year – can you believe that it has been enhancing the eyes of fashion forward women for this long! A TOP British brand!
I also came across these…
… Pre – Glued lashes! As an ardent lash wearer, I know that sometimes applying the glue to the lash and then applying the lash to the eye can be a little fiddly (lash wearers – we have all had those incidences when the lash glue gets stuck to you real eyelashes and you have to begin the application process all over again!!!), so I was keen to try these out to see if 1) the application process was any easier and 2) they would last as long.
The lovely ladies from the Eylure team sent me a few styles to try and I have to say, I was really impressed!
The pre-glued, ready to wear lashes are packaged as per your standard lashes, but they have a black strip of adhesive attached to the lash line. The adhesive is very tacky, so one does have to be careful when removing the lash from the tray (which is done using a pair of tweezers).
I found that when I applied the lash to my own lash line, I was able to maneuver and position the lash until I was happy with the placement and that the adhesive did not loosen from the false eyelash neither did it become less tacky!
I was able to apply these lashes in no time at all!
They are perfect for popping in your make up back for when you have a night out and you need to update your look quickly and effortlessly. The fact that you do not need to carry the glue around is definitely a bonus! I also think that these lashes are great for the ‘false lash virgin’, who may find the standard application a bit tricky to begin with.
I wore the lashes for my evening out at the 2012 Black Beauty and Hair/Sensationnel Awards which took place at the end of November (more about this soon!) and they stayed put into the wee hours of the morning!!
The lashes are reusable and each pack comes with an additional adhesive strip. Once again, this strip is easy to apply to the lash and I found that the lashes performed just as brilliantly the second time around. My only ask would be that Eylure provided more of the strips in each pack or provide the strips to be able to be purchased separately, as I would certainly buy them to use with my other lashes too!
As a bona fide lash addict I would recommend these lashes wholeheartedly!
Pick up a pack today!
these lashes look beautiful – so natural looking! i love eyelure lashes, haven’t tried any of their pre-glued versions yet though. looks like i’m going to have to pick up a pair to try sometime 🙂
Give them a go and let me know how you get on!
Love these, have never worn falsies, as worried I would get reaction to glue, wore these for vintage event felt very Glam, my daughter thought I had new mascara:)
As you described, I’m a “false lash virgin” and after a couple of failed attempts at the regular process I gave up. Then I got a pair of these in my Glossybox and absolutely loved them! Extremely easy to use and very comfortable, my only question, and this may seem a stupid one, is how many uses can I get out of one stip of the glue? Do I use them once then change the glue or can I use them until they’re not longer sticky?
Thanks for reading and for your comment!
I am glad you have gotten on well with the lashes. I only managed a couple of wears per strip -hence my wish that these would be sold separately!
can you sleep with it and wear it again the next day?
Hi Marisa,
No, the lashes should be removed at night.
Thanks for reading!
I have these pre glued lashes too and asking if, when the stickiness goes, can you put eyelash glue and use them again?
I haven’t used these in a long time but guess would be yes!
