Whoop!

Firstly I want to thank you all for reading, commenting and sharing my blog with other over the past 26 months! Your support means the world to me.

I am extremely honoured the have been short listed along side fellow beauty and style bloggers Gina aka Natural Belle

and Ashanti aka Adorn Girl.

Both ladies are dedicated to curating and showcasing the best in beauty and fashion – be it the championing of natural textures of hair, reviews of the latest products suitable for darker skin tones or the creative expression of graduate fashion designers and emerging models of colour – they dutifully communicate with a loyal fan base across several social media platforms.

As I have mentioned in previous posts, I love being a part of this amazing online community – a community that represents the modern, articulate Black British woman who isn’t afraid to highlight and challenge the status quo.

Gina’s post entilted 50 Shades of Beige – An Open Letter to Cosmetic Brands is the perfect example of this – an intelligent, well written piece that cuts straight to the chase and brings the key issues to the fore.

The Black British #bbloger community is supportive of each others work, readily sharing it with our respective networks…

…and enthusiastically contributing to conversations…

…thus going someway to dispell the myth that Black women just can’t get along!

Vote for Natural Belle, Adorn Girl or I to win the PRECIOUS Awards Blogger of the Year accolade here and be Make sure you are following me on Twitter or Instagram – I will be live-tweeting the pictures from the event, which I am sure will be an spectacular affair!
