Product Review: @stilaUK Stay All Day Foundation and Concealer in shades 15 (Deep) and 16 (Cocoa)

Every so often, one discovers the magic of beauty product which one wonders how they ever lived without it!

I can say that this was the case for the Stila All Day Foundation and concealer!

Stila Atay All Day

I have been a fan of the Stila brand every I since I discovered it in the late 2000’s when I was a beauty buyer’s assistant at Selfridges. I instantly fell in love with the now iconic Lip Glazes, which are still my go-to glosses! A viscous texture and with a high octane shine – they aren’t for everyone – but I LOVE this gloss. It comes in variety of shades and I especially love the Cranberry shade for a punchy red or the Praline shade for a subtle nude finish.

The thing that sets this foundation apart from others that I have used is the texture of the formulation, which is a whipped cream consistency – not quite a liquid but thicker and richer than a mousse! Thus it provides an fantastic coverage that is not heavy in the slightest. The product is oil-free and is said to contain an ‘unique oxygen technology’ that leaves skin hydrated, nourished and helps prevent premature ageing.

It was also great to see that the product comes in 16 shades – including an extra deep tone! Shade 15 was a perfect match for me and I asked my Keziah CONNECTIONS‘ ‘hostess with the mostest‘ to test the deeper shade 16 – here is what she thought!

When it comes to make up, I’m not the type to want to cake it all on – I am looking to just cover blemishes and unevenness, and to enhance my beauty in a natural way. The Stay All Day foundation gives just enough coverage in all the right areas.

It did indeed stay on ‘on all day’ and did conceal giving me the coverage I needed. I was really drawn to the consistency of the foundation, it was creamy like in texture yet not to runny nor too thick. There was also a mini spatula that opened with the lid of the bottle which helps manage the amount used.

In my opinion it did what it said on the bottle – the coverage was adequate and never found myself having to top up. With regards to the colour match, The shade has a red toned base which I liked, however it was a bit lighter than my actually skin tone – but blended well and wore well in natural light.

The foundation is also lauded by US #brownbeauty YouTuber Jackie Aina, who gave it the thubbs up in the video below!
