Just over a year ago, I visited the black|up head offices in Paris and since then I have fallen in love with brand. The quality of the products and the celebration of brown beauty in the imagery is stunning.
Hello #brownbeauties! The relationship that I have developed with the brand has blossomed into a partnership that has seen the company support Keziah CONNECTIONS for its 3rd anniversary last year. The brand is prolific in creating and releasing new products and has recently added several products to join the current portfolio:
*SPF 25 PROTECTIVE PRIMER
*ANTI-SHINE LOOSE POWDER
I was sent the above products to test and I was very impressed with all three items.

SPF 25 Protective Primer
I am an ardent fan of primers, their ability to keep the my makeup looking fresher for longer is indisputable. My only qualm is that some primers can leave a white film on my darker skin. This is not the case with this primer.
The formulation is lightweight and is packed with anti-oxidents, yet it provides a smoothing base for my foundation to sit upon. The high SPF is a bonus (although I still use a separate SPF product). The mattifying properties are conferred by elastomer polymers that help to control excess sebum production throughout the day and hyaluronic acid ensures the skin stays moisturised.
Anti-shine Loose Powder
This product worked really well to keep the shine at bay without creating a lifeless and dull canvas.
The finely milled powder is made of tiny spherical balls that provides a flawless finish.
It is available in five shades suitable for all skin tones and is also paraben free.
The Kabuki brush is designed to be used with the Anti-shine powder.
It boasts a new generation of fibres. Composed of a mix of straight and wavy, ultra-soft synthetic fibres, the brush provides a natural and even finish thanks to its large, round bevelled shape. It is well made and does not shed any fibres during washing.
The brand also has a luxury skin care line that has been created to target some of the key concerns that those with a darker skin tones such as hyper-pigmentation. Two new products that have been added to the line are the Dark Spot Correcting Serum and Night Cream.
I am currently testing these items and will follow up with my review in due course!
The products can be purchased from the black|up UK website
