This post  has garnered many views in the past few weeks as the Olympics got off to an amazing start.  Queries about  Jessica Ennis’ ethnicity is the main reason for the spike in views . I state in the post that Ennis is of a mixed heritage background – her father is Jamaican and her mother is English – but most importantly of all, like myself  – Jessica is first and foremost British!

10) P&G Proud Sponsor of Mums and Rose Kwayke on ‘Raising an Olympian’

Although Jeanette Kwayke sadly didn’t make team GB for 2012, it was wonderful to hear her mother’s (Rose Kwayke) story on what it takes to raise a champion.  After witnessing some of the most spectacular wins over the past 10 days – I have nothing but the uttermost respect for Rose and all of the mums (and dads!) who make the sacrifice to see their child take the Olympic stage.
